Today, we recognize International Women’s Day (IWD), a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. IWD also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equity. Around the globe, women and allies will come together to celebrate women's accomplishments and march for women's equity.
This year’s IWD theme is #EmbraceEquity. Do you know the difference between equity and equality? These terms are often used interchangeably, but they are inherently different concepts. We can all do our part to drive change by challenging barriers to access, calling out assumptions and stereotypes, drawing attention to bias in decision-making and seeking out inclusion.
